I’m a 14-year-old from Asheville NC, who began playing volleyball a year and a half ago. During this time, I’ve fallen “head over heels” for the game, finding my passion, and dedicating myself to learning and improving my skills as much as possible. I enjoy playing as a setter and defense specialist (DS), and I love the camaraderie and fast-paced competitive environment during tournaments. My first experience with volleyball was in seventh grade, where I ended the season by being promoted to the junior varsity (JV) team and receiving the Coaches Award, which was a significant honor and motivated me to continue learning. This school year, I was selected as the only eighth grader to play on the varsity team, surrounded by amazing Senior and Junior female players, pushing me to elevate my game and earn their trust, and even having the opportunity to be the team Captain. Currently, I am playing on the 16 2s team for Biltmore Volleyball Academy under the mentorship of Coach Jordan Kodek. In addition to training, competing, and keeping up with school, I have recently started volunteering as the Assistant Manager for the Middle School boys’ volleyball team and have been invited to train with the 16 Elite team at Biltmore Volleyball Academy. I’m inspired by exceptional players like Kami Miner and Lexi Rodriguez, but most importantly, I am committed to working hard, continuously learning, strengthening my mental game, and becoming the best I can be for my team, my family, and myself. I am truly grateful for each and every opportunity to play, learn, and improve myself as a well rounded and contributing human.
