I liked this training the most because I felt like the keeper coach really connected with us and helped us fix our mistakes and not just go through the drill. The drills were well thought out and they had a purpose. I felt like I gained the most out of that training; the coaches were nice but also helped us improve.”

The trip also presented unique challenges that helped Landyn grow as a player. “The game that stood out to me was the one where we had to play a coed game with a boys team because of miscommunication. It was kind of a frustrating experience because the boys were kind of ball hogs and we had to adapt how we play to play with them. It also helped me learn how to deal with difficult situations on the field and how different it is playing with boys.”

Experiencing the soccer culture in England was a highlight for Landyn. “This was a really cool experience because soccer or futbol is a lot bigger in England than in the United States, so it was cool to see how much more passionate some of the coaches and players are. It was beneficial to learn the different playing styles and coaching styles, I learned new drills, and a whole new way to look at the sport I love!”

It showed me the endless possibilities you could have with this sport and the training from it! I loved the new drills and tactics I learned and will be using them in my future playing and coaching!”
